Deeper Learning

In a rapidly changing world, young people entering college, the workforce, or the military need more than a mastery of core academic subjects.

Known as “deeper learning,” the broader abilities to learn, collaborate, communicate, problem-solve, and persevere through challenges are critically important. Local and state educators are working to help schools meet those needs: setting rigorous standards for learning and emphasizing the need for new, practical approaches to education.

Council for a Strong America informs and persuades lawmakers and the public about the importance of investments in innovative educational models that teach students the skills and knowledge that they need succeed in school, careers, and life by imparting deeper learning competencies. These learning environments and experiences will prepare students for future success, while, at the same time, helping to lead to more equitable educational outcomes for all.
